Professional Experience

Duane Miller has been involved in real estate and community development since 1992. He seeks new development opportunities in affordable housing, mixed finance, and mixed-income projects. He works with cities and not-for-profits to leverage private dollars as well as public resources toward the development of investment opportunities in distressed areas.

Duane managed a not-for-profit community development corporation with $33 million in assets and served as Senior Vice President of Community and Asset Management at Flaherty & Collins Properties, leading over $900 million in affordable development projects over the last 27 years. Duane joined T&H as Co-Owner and CEO and is known as a top executive in affordable housing at T&H. Duane’s background provides him with an understanding of the mission of investing in people, while providing safe quality affordable housing to communities. His goal is to ensure that each project is financially viable for the community stakeholders.

Midatlantic

St. Elizabeths East

St. Elizabeth’s East was developed by T&H owner Duane Miller and consists of 252 mixed-income rental housing units at the CT Campus. This historic adaptive reuse project was made possible by the District of Columbia, the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation, Flaherty & Collins Properties, and Red Brick, LLC. The project also includes 13 permanent supportive housing units to be serviced by Community Connections.
