Professional Experience

Truitt Daeger is a seasoned professional in the field of construction operations with a wealth of experience and a track record of successful project delivery. Truitt brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic business acumen to his role as Director of Construction Operations. Truitt holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management Technology from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Truitt’s journey in the construction industry began as a Project Engineer with Bowen Engineering, where he contributed significantly to the success of a large-scale wastewater treatment rehabilitation project in Indianapolis, Indiana. His responsibilities in that role encompassed diverse areas including material procurement, scheduling, onsite surveying, cost tracking, and assisting with the management of over 100 field employees.

In 2016, Truitt transitioned to TWG Construction, where he served in a variety of roles within the organization, including Project Engineer, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager. Throughout his tenure at TWG, Truitt’s project teams successfully delivered over 1,100 units valued at more than $200 million dollars. These projects spanned a range of complexities and styles, from garden-style to loft-style to mid-rise, with total project values ranging from $5 million to $45 million dollars. Noteworthy projects in Truitt’s portfolio during his tenure at TWG include the McDowell Point Apartments in Naperville, IL, a $45 million project consisting of 174 units; The Assembly in Indianapolis, IN, a historic rehabilitation project valued at $34 million, featuring 132 residential units and office space; The Flats on Fifth Apartments in Des Moines, IA, a $35 million development comprising 288 units; and Silver Birch of Michigan City in Michigan City, IN, a $20 million venture featuring 120 residential units.

Truitt’s passion for construction and development is paralleled by his enthusiasm for fostering teamwork and individual growth. His time at T&H has been marked by his appreciation for the talented individuals with whom he interacts daily. In his personal life outside of work, Truitt enjoys a variety of leisure activities, including golf, water skiing, and snow skiing. He also enjoys playing card games such as euchre, poker, and blackjack, and exploring new destinations through travel. Some of his favorite places he has been are Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee, Las Vegas, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
